Family Matters

In the exposition of the story we were introduce to some of her family her mother, and her habits of stealing In the story "Bastard out of Carolina" by Dorothy Allison, Dorothy has a problem with stealing and has to learn the hard way.
In the "Bastard Out of Carolina" the character experiences feeling of hate and uncomfortableness in ways that are sexual and can effect the child in a negative way. This experience sows that people can be unsafe and not to steal. The rising action in the story is when mama tells the little girl the story about her picking strawberries when she was little. The climax in the story is when the mama is teaching her a lesson by making her return what she took like what happened to her when she was little. Also when the Manger from the store comes out talks to er. The climax goes into the falling Action when the manger touches the little girl. "You do, don'tcha, honey?" he says as he touched her.
The conflict of the story is Adult vs Child when the daughter realizes that there is a different connection between adults and children when she is returning the stolen goods. The conflict could also be Man vs. Self because during  the rising action the daughter tries to figure out what is right witch is within herself.
